Krill Oil

Antarctic krill are minuscule, less known crustaceans that are part of the food chain for many species such as marine mammals, seabirds and blue whales. Krill being the smallest crustacean plays one the most important role in the ecosystem of their diet.

Krill are about 6cm long and weigh around 2 grams. Krill despite its size are considered one of the world’s most abundant multi-celled organisms and thought to be one of the largest catalysts of marine life on the planet.

This little crustacean has large black eyes having a translucent and reddish shell. Krill has a life span of 5-7 years and live in very dense groups.

There are many benefits of Krill oil as it has high amount of Omega-3 fatty acids that are consumed as dietary supplements and said to benefit cardiovascular health. Krill oil is a more powerful antioxidant than fish oils, and even a better alternative considering its lower concentrations of contaminants.
